How Does God View the Role of Women in Society

In regards to social issues and women, I have posted a few issue that have hit on how women are viewed and treated in society. On my other blog, BlossomingNaturally, I will be writing a sister article about society's view of God. (will be posted 5/4). If you are interested in reading that post, click on the blog name above. This post is going to touch on the same issue, but from God's point of view (in my mind). You do not have to be a Christian or believe in God to agree, but wouldn't it be nice to know if you had the opportunity to ask.

If you are not sure where God stands on the importance of women, here are a few examples from the Bible:

1. Deborah was one of Israel's greatest judges and military leaders.

2. Ruth was a great hero and ancestor of Jesus Christ.

3. Queen Esther saved her people with her courage and wisdom.

4. Joanna, the wife of one of Herod's officials, supported Jesus and His disciples.

5. Mary Magdalene was the first to meet the risen Christ and the first to tell others about it.

There are many more examples in the Bible regarding the greatness of women, but I do not want to turn this post into a sermon. I am trying to show you how valuable women are to the greatest person ever - God.

Even today, God uses women to lead many women. Women like Rosa Parks, Sonia Gandhi, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, Yoani Sanchez, Aung Sun Suri, and many more. These women came from different parts of the world but have other thing in common - a voice.

As I have said in several other posts in the blog, all it take is one voice. And don't believe for a moment you can't make a difference, because you can. We were all given special gifts from God, its how we choose to use those gifts that will make a difference.

God says you and I are "more than conquerors through Him who loves us."

"God does not give us overcoming life: He gives us life as we overcome." - Oswald Chambers

Are you willing to overcome?
